Hello, I have a board using the Keil Middleware USB device software. The included driver is mcb1800-vcom.inf DriverVer=05/13/2013,5.3.0.0 Is there a newer version available that is signed? I'm using Windows 7 Embedded, and none of the usual workarounds have worked to get around having an unsigned driver, I have to press F8 at every boot. Thanks!
Hi Matthew,
I have tried this on Windows 7 Enterprise, and driver is installed without problems. Searching the web shows there are such problems with Windows 7 Embedded, as this seems to be somewhat different version of Windows. Can you try same thing on Windows 7 not the Embedded version? Which version of Windows 7 Embedded are you using?
Best regards, Milorad
Hi Milorad,
I'll have to try it on Windows 7 but I suspect I'll have the same issue. We're using Win7 64 Embedded
what is the message you get when you try to install the driver?
It is Error 52
Hello Matthew,
Our .inf file makes calls to the USBSER.sys file. Perhaps your version of that file is out of date or missing? This appears to be an issue many Windows 7 Embedded users face:

Having a modern version of usbser.sys may allow you to install the driver.
