and the another i am confusing on this one... Can you use ADC1 to measure the Vbat signal on the board without additional wiring/hardware? If so, provide the code required to accomplish this. If not, provide justification.

Yes, you should be able to measure VBAT on an STM32F4 device, though you'd need to know what your primary supply is.
Nothing specifically to do with Keil or ARM or STM32 - you must understand what you need to do before getting into the details of how to implement that using specific tools & devices...
