using SiLabs UDA debugger for Cortex M4

Hi,

I have a new design and am trying to start debugging it. I am using uVision V4.72.3.0 with an STM324F17 processor. I have a Silicon Labs USB 32-bit debugger that I have used in Serial Wire mode successfully with a Cortex M3 processor, but I was using ST's Precision32 IDE for that project.

I am using Serial Wire debug connections to the processor. I have selected the "Silabs UDA Debugger" as the debug adapter in the Target options Debug screen in uVision. The debug adapter shows up in the Settings menu; it shows the serial number on the "Debug" tab.

However, when I initiate a debug session, an error message comes up and says:
Debugger - Cortex-M Error
No ST-LINK detected

But I have not selected an ST_LINK (I don't have one), I have selected the Silabs UDA Debugger.

How can I get the Silabs USB Debug adapter working?

Thanks very much,
Jeff
