Ethernet Driver for LPC2368

I am developing ethernet driver for ARM7(LPC2368) microcontroller using keil micro vision 3. I am sending an ARP request frame from the microcontroller. How do I check if the ARP request frame has been successfully generated and sent??

Please suggest some network sniffer programs. Also, I am new to ethernet so I don't know how to check packet status from the PC while PC transmits.
