To my mind it is not enough easy to use this feature by right clicking and browsing in popup menu. And it have no shortcut. Can i add a shortcut for it(ctrl+d), or better make it by double-clicking?
2.Double-clicking of file on "Project Window" has no effect if file also among the opened files(coloring tabs)!!! Is it bug? It so hard to seek file there, I would use only "Project Window". Can I switch off tabs at all, for example in "configuration"? All is trifles, but they so irritate and decelerate operation, and the main thing - distract!
ilya, as I have exactly the same problems and opinion, I can tell you following:
- the wild coloring can be switched off in options (then the tabs are a bit better)
- the project file double-click-and-nothing-happens is annoying, it occurs when the file is already open, this is probably a bug, time to time it helps to select another file and select the desired one back (if you try to invoke the context menu for the non functioning file, you might see the Keil thinks it's different file - I often have MAP file there). As I don't use the Keil editor as a main one, but for minor corrections only, I still haven't found time to determine the more exact conditions to reproduce, sumarize and post to Keil support (there are more serious topics to be reported).
- regardding the "Go To Definition": I used F12 and Ctrl-minus (the one next to "0", not the "numerical" one), because this is Microsoft Visual Studio default and suprisingly in newer Keils it also works the same way (unfortunatelly it work only after successfull build only)
Pavel, thanks for help F12. Wild coloring of tabs -is not problem: I want to switched off the tabs themselfs. Why do you use external editor?
I'm not sure that I understand your problem or problems. Are you trying to switch between tabs by double clicking in the Project window ant the file is already opened? If that is your problem, just View->Functions. They will show up in the same space as the Project Window. Clicking on a function will bring the file focus to the foreground.

Al, thanks, it helps a little. It is wrong to search for bypass ways, but there's nothing to be done. Nevertheless the program good!
<OffToppic> ilya,
I use external editor many years of programming in plain C, because I'm happy with it and I know most of the features I need and I'm able to write (edit) code relatively quickly. The various IDE editors have various features, but mostly not all I would need ;) Anyway e.g. when writing something in other languages (e.g. Visual Studio C++/C#), I'm starting to tend to use their IDE, because it starts to be useful - and finally has working code completion ;) I'm glad the uVision IDE inspires here. Maybe year or two and I will use its editor. </OffToppic>
