Big Question - ?

Hello guys

Very exited about the 8052, it is a dream come true. extremly promising for me

i know about the source stuff and the main goal of the 8052 being "compatible" for older parts

but are any of the major developers interested in making things for the 8052?

if so, what will it be the medium on which the stuff will be on?

thanks

    Yes, it's 100% compatible with the 8051 and 8031.

"but are any of the major developers interested in making things for the 8052?"

Yes, I predict that they will create peripherals that can be connected to the 8052 for at least the next 25 years.

"if so, what will it be the medium on which the stuff will be on?"

Initially all software will be supplied on 8 inch floppies, later on smaller and higher capacity flopies. Maybe, one day, it will possible to store the complete development environment, simulator, source code and EPROM images on a small medium that could be fitted into a shirt pocket.
