programming the lpc2366

Hello,

I'm using the lpc2366 with keil IDE V3.53 and Realview compiler.

When I want to program the device for the very first time, I have to reduce the JTAG speed to 20 KHz. Or else the programming won't work.

When I program the device the second time, I can increase the JTAG speed to 500 KHz. Most of the time this works just fine but very often it results in the following errors:
Cannot load flash programming algorithm
flash timeout. reset target and try again.

Programming the device at 1 MHz is not possible.

Can someone tell me why the device must be programmed at 20 KHz for the first time and what's the cause of all those errors.

Kind regards,
Sander
