i cant get the program to work. what is wrong?
add-number ( integer a; integer b ) ( add-number = integer a + integer b )
For better or worse we will add registration and captcha later this year in order to post messages to the forum.
Reading messages will still be unrestricted.
Once each poster is registered, we can...
In reality, the possibilities are only limited by what we dream of and what you guys recommend.

"Allow other posters to sensor messages"
I think you mean "censor"...?
"Score posters based on number of messages posted and/or quality of responses."
I think quantity is a worthless measure; Quality would be a useful rating, though...
You are right. When you are dealing with sensors all the time, sometimes your fingers just go into autopilot when typing.
i checked the email and have nothing there
i ask for help and you give complains!
... so manage your way out of that one!
"i know how to get poeple to do work very good. i want to be rich manager and not poor enginere!"
It appears that you have neither the skill to do this yourself, nor the skills to get others to do it for you - let alone to do it for free!
So, again, on what basis do you think you should pass this assignment?!
i think you are bad worker and i will not hire you

thank you for email and code. you are good kind man.
"thank you for email and code. you are good kind man."
You're quite welcome and thank you for the compliment. I am certain you will pass. As you can surely see by the code, I am an experienced and skilled code writer. I find you to be such a compelling and motivational student manager that I hope I get to work for you someday. In the meantime, if I can help you pass another homework assignment, test, or course, please don't hesitate to use my services -- at no charge to you, of course! You know how to reach me.

Perhaps you should post the code here, so that the rest of the class (and future classes) can share in your largesse...
;-)
I think quantity is a worthless measure
I fully agree with you there.
Quality would be a useful rating, though.
But who would judge?
"But who would judge?"
Why, nafar smegma, of course!
Presumably, forum members would be able to apply some sort of rating to a post, a bit like the "customer reviews" at places like Amazon - so it would be a subjective measure.
That's the one advantage of a "quantity" score - it is entirely objective!
thank you for confidence of me.
i remember you when my business grows
I give you good money but not asmuch as me ;)
Of course, you could always use the karma ratings (as many sites currently use), which like all investments can go up as well as down.
No doubt Jack and Erik will end up giving each other very very negative scores.
Maybe the use of the words optimization and large (in any context) should reduce the user profile rating ;)
Not to mention the phase "C Standard" and "have you read".
<grin>
