i cant get the program to work. what is wrong?

add-number ( integer a; integer b )

  • If you implement some form of registration system you run the risk of losing occasional contributors who actually post useful information but may not bother if posting is made difficult, then be left with those who post prolifically as some sort of ego massage programme.

    Unfortunately, I think we're being forced into this by the number of posers who pretend to be those people who actually post useful stuff. This is happening more and more.

    And, we are starting to see more posts for porn or cheap pharmaceuticals.

    Registration is one way to eliminate or reduce these problems.

    We have been rather liberal in our policies regarding posting and have avoided censorship in regards to the content of messages as long as they don't violate the policies we have listed. We will continue down that path even with the registration process in place.

    With registration we are simply trying to protect legitimate posters from impostors and from junk threads.

    If it really is becoming a problem I guess it has to happen.

    I still think that a rating system would be a mistake if your overall objective is to reduce wasted bandwidth.
