LPC 2xxx Pin TD1

Hi all,

CAN Pins TD2,RD1,RD2 are given GPIO pions in lpc2129 etc.whereas TD1 is function specific pin. why is it so?? is there any specific reason for this?

i am using MCB2100 (LPC2129) with ULINK debugger.
i by mistake connected TD1 pin to gnd and ULINK was not able to communicate???? when i removed it worked...
whts d reason for this?

Thanks,
Dimple

  • Now I have seen your issue. Well it is clearly documentated in the NXP datasheet that TD1 is only used for CAN. It makes no sense to question this - but I agree it is not logical.

Perhaps in a future version of the LPC2129 device this will be more consistent. But keep in mind: we are not NXP here.
