I am using uVision2 in conjunction with "Texas TAS1020". I use Hitex x51 emulator and the driver (http://www.keil.com/download/docs/119.asp) to debug my program. I would be happy if you could provide me some applications notes or information on how to configure and setup such environment using uVision2 and Hitex X51 so that I can access the TAS1020's onchip ROM functions and its peripherals such as I2C, USB.
My environment is almost working and I can start debugging and communicate with Hitex emulator and go step by step through my source code, but due to some problems I am not able to access the tas1020 onchip peripherals and memory space from within the code running on Tas1020.
Any help regarding memory maps (such as emulator overlay memory, target memory) and troubleshooting their issues is highly appreciated
As discussed, your problem with the Hitex emulator is an issue for the Hitex support.
Dear friends, Thanks for your information and assistance.
Unfortunately Hitex is not providing support of any kind or even any information about the x51 and its combination with uVision any more (because x51 driver for uVision is considered to be out-dated and discontinued product).
I couldn't establish my desired environment in uVision using their x51 driver, but after a simple firmware upgrade I was able to use their Hi-Top 5 environment to load and debug my program in disassembly mode.
Since the ideal case is to both program and debug in uVision2 environment and there is no more information available about using Hitex in an Integrated way with uVision (I mean for TI TAS1020 [with on-chip boot-rom]). I am currently working myself to overcome the issue by some practice and will inform again here in case of success.
Thanks
