Maybe they never did receive e-mail notifications. You can't rely on writers receiving e-mail because it's an optional setting chosen by the writer.

I does not make sense to me, if people want to post to a thread it is because the issue was not solved, may be that a member wants to post a solution or simply to refresh the status in order to remind (usually to technical support) that the problem was not solved.
In my case I wanted to continue an issue dated March 2006 ( http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread7382.asp ) in order to agree with the initiator that the issue should be solved and not ignored by proposing unacceptable workarounds.

If anyone are looking for a solution 3 months or more after they posted, I doubt they are still employed.
