They do not allow posting.
I did it, but how the original writers receive email notifications regarding old messages?
Daniel
They won't.
Probably on the assumption that the thread is so old that they're no longer interested.
There was one particular thread that kept getting resurrected: the original post was something like, "send me I2C code" and every term there'd be a new set of "me too" posts.
"... how the original writers receive email notifications regarding old messages?"
Maybe they never did receive e-mail notifications. You can't rely on writers receiving e-mail because it's an optional setting chosen by the writer.

So there you have it!
I does not make sense to me, if people want to post to a thread it is because the issue was not solved, may be that a member wants to post a solution or simply to refresh the status in order to remind (usually to technical support) that the problem was not solved.
In my case I wanted to continue an issue dated March 2006 ( http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread7382.asp ) in order to agree with the initiator that the issue should be solved and not ignored by proposing unacceptable workarounds.

Oh Well, you can't please all of the people all of the time!
At least now you know why it is the way it is...

If anyone are looking for a solution 3 months or more after they posted, I doubt they are still employed.

PS plese give a link to the thread you want to add to, I am curious
