I read the User's Guide of the above mentioned MCBx51 Evaluation Board and I saw that, next to the 'common' 8051 cores, also some 'exotic' versions are supported, such as 8xC664 (pg. 28 of the User's Guide). Since there's mentioned "devices like", I guess that list is not final and more are supported. I was wondering if the versions 89C668/9 in particular are also supported. Best rgds, --Geert
"Unfortunately, it is up to the user to figure out (by reading the data sheet) if the device is really pin-for-pin compatible with the devices the MCBx51 board supports." Perhaps you should give a prize for each newly-discovered, proven-compatible variant...? ;-)
Perhaps you should give a prize for each newly-discovered, proven-compatible variant...? ;-) Maybe a spare evaluation board? OK, now I'll spit on my hands... ;-) Best rgds, --Geert
"Maybe a spare evaluation board?" That'd do nicely...! ;-)
