We found the problem.

Last week, we made a few changes to the database that would speed up the thread list output. The changes reduced the list display from about 5 seconds to about 1 second.

A side-effect of this change is that a little more processing is required to re-order the list after a new message is posted. This change is what caused the delay in posting to the forum.

We have updated a few indexes to make them work faster. Let's see if this solves the posting problem.
