Hey everyone, I am a new user of the Cygnal 8051F124 and I am attempting to learn how to program it. All I am trying to do for now is send a string, such as "Hello World" over the serial port. I have been trying to write the string to SBUF0. Also where would the output appear? Do I need to be running another program such as a HyperTerminal to see the serial port output? I have done C programming before but never this type (writing to bits and such). So any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.
http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread3387.asp If you request the free CD, it has some videos on it that give you a quick walkthrough of the tools https://www.keil.com/demo/cdrom.asp You will also have to read the Cygnal datasheet for details specific to your chip. I think Cygnal have a forum for questions specific to their parts? http://www.keil.com/books/8051books.asp
You might also want to look at the 'Training' link at the top of the page. Or maybe your local Keil distributor runs classes/seminars? Or perhaps you can hire a friendly local Consultant to come and walk you through the tools - see my offer near the end of this thread: http://www.keil.com/forum/docs/thread3445.asp
