how to interface an 8051 to an RF transmitter ?

I need to transmit a string of message between two Radio frequency transmitter. The message will be stored a microcontroller (e.g. 8051). How to go about writing a program for it and how to interface between the micrcontroller and the transmitters. I am still an amauteur when comes to embeded programming. Any source code or info on this ?

  • i'm doing a project on Nurses alerting device that consist of a push button acting as a transmitter. when it is press the transmiiter will send data encoded to a receiver and decode it back and a buzzer + LED will light up depending on which paitent is needed.

the problem is how many receiver should i use? let say i create 4 transmitter for 4 patients.. and i only use 1 receiver, when 2 paitent press both at the same time the reciever simply reject both of them ..

how can i solve this issue??
    i need advice..

i thought of 1on1 basis.. meaning each transmitter will have their own reciever end but it would be costly to have so many recievers.. any other way..

i'm using RF transmitter and using 8051
    Need assistance thanks.

  • I want to know,RF transmitter can be use in the ICU room?Because the ICQ is strict,on the EMI.
I think the problem is easily.but i think use the cable net better than RF transmitter, else your will be use in field.
you can use 2 cable in this net,if you know like that 1wire protocol and I2C or UART.and you can using one computer for the monitor.or using your buzzer and led.
however, i don't know what about u priject detaild.

  • but,if you want to using RF transmitter,i will give u a few pointers. tell me u e-mail.

  • dawsonyeo@yahoo.com

    please give me advice.

    Okie..
This project has already been done by the last batch of student..

what they have done is using Radiometer Tx2 and RX2 UHF. It also consist of encoder HT 12E and decoder HT12D

the prototype they come out has only 4 transmitter each having their encoder.

the encoder will encode a pre-set data send it to the transmitter when the push button is press. the other end has only 1 receiver linking up to 4 decoder - it will decode(pre-set) the data and light up the LED n buzzer respectively

The problem now is when 2 patient press at the same time. at the reciever end there won't be any signal as the signal has clash.

How can i solve this problem. how can i synchronise the device to make it accept 1 and reject the other and mean time sent back a reject notification..

I review the pass few post from this page notice my project is somehow related to what u'll are saying only problem is

  • i need to modified the nurse alerting system to enhance it to attach the telephone line to speak with them. Anyone can help me think of a way to link up my transmitter to a voice intercom ..any circuitry??

i still need to add in other feature into this project SOB~~ hope anyone can help..

or if u'll think any other things i can imply to the nurse call device please phase out ..thanks

  • i want to more details about interfacing 8051 to an RF transmitter,i want schmatics and designs?

  • "i want ... i want ..."

Have you actually read any of this thread before demanding stuff?

Several links have been given already!

  • hello,

Could you send me a program explaining how to conect an 8051 to a radiometrix.

    Thank you very much

    Alexandre

  • "Could you send me a program explaining how to conect an 8051 to a radiometrix."

    ask radiometrix!

  • "i want ... i want ..."

can't you hear the little feet stamping the floor

  • If you want a one-watt radio but don't want to pay the killer prices that some companies have to offer, check out MaxStream's new 9XTend. This wireless radio modem has a full one-watt of power (not pseudo-conducted one-watt trash like some other companies). This allows for up to four watts conducted output which is still allowable by the FCC without a license.

MaxStream claims that you can get up to 40 miles of line-of-sight range with a high gain antenna. The development kit costs like $500, but since it is new the price will probably come down.

Everything that I have read about this new radio sounds like MaxStream knows what they are doing. You can see their stuff at http://www.maxstream.net.

  • i need help on transmitting and receiving a string.. Does anyone got the example code or any guide to it on transmitting and receiving string?? i really need help if u don mind send it to my mail as i am new to this C8051F226 board?? lukawa19832002@yahoo.com
    thanks

  • have you actually read any of the preceding discussion, or looked at any of the links given?
