Hi, I have three questions regarding Infineon microcontroller C161CJ: 1) Is it fully supported by KEIL? 2) It has OCDS : On chip Debug Support. Can KEIL software use this? If so Is there any information regarding the cable connections to the PC? 3) It has a flash memory. Does anyone on this Forum has ever used? I am with the usual problems of very little time to do the hardware and the software and I would like to know if someone has already made some code to write parameters on the internal flash. I do not know if it is troublesome or not! If so I might think on using one external SEEPROM:) Thanks All & Best regards, Joao
1) Is it fully supported by KEIL? Yep. 2) It has OCDS : On chip Debug Support. Can KEIL software use this? If so Is there any information regarding the cable connections to the PC? Yep. You can use ULINK (http://www.keil.com/ulink) to do that. I am in the process of adding details on that to the web site. It will be up by Monday. Jon
Thanks Jon, I Have sent the requset for this to our logistic department. I am completing the schematic and really need to know what connections shall I put in my board to connect to the ulink cable. Can you give me details about the circuit for the OCDS. Is it? - from Infineon ap24001.pdf: " The connector is a standard 2.54 mm (0.1 inch) centres. TMS 1 - 2 VDD TDO 3 - 4 GND CPU_CLOCK 5 - 6 GND TDI 7 - 8 RESET TRST 9 - 10 BRKOUT TCK 11 - 12 GND BRKIN 13 - 14 OCDSE RCAP1 15 - 16 RCAP2 WITH : The following signals should be connected to pull-ups pull-downs of 10 kΩ respectively on the cpu board. – OCDS, TMS, TCK, TDI, TRST, RESET, BRKIN " Also I am not placing external RAMs on board. Is it ok for ulink? That is it can run only with the microcontroller? Any other circuit requirements? Thanks, Joao
I need to know this information as well. Can anyone help? Walt
This information is in the C166 Version 4.24 on-line help. Download the current eval version from http://www.keil.com/demo and take a look to Keil\C166\HLP\OCDS.CHM - OCDS Connector Pinout.
