Hi, is there any way to update the software of MCC in MPS3 FPGA Prototyping System?
Thks!
Hello, do you mean to update the SD card images? That should be as simple as connecting the board via USB to host PC, and using Windows Explorerhttps://developer.arm.com/documentation/100765/0000/Configuration/Configuration-files/Overview-of-configuration-files-and-microSD-card-directory-structure?lang=en
Hello, Thanks for your reply. But I mean the firmware of MCC(STM32). Or is there JTAG/SWD connected to MCC(STM32) in MPS3 ?
The firmware for this is the \\MB\HBI0309C\mbb_<version>.ebf file, and is updated as described above.https://developer.arm.com/documentation/100765/0000/Configuration/Configuration-files/Contents-of-the-MB-directoryWe do not expect a user to edit this code, it is provided as part of the Apps Note(s) exampleshttps://developer.arm.com/tools-and-software/development-boards/fpga-prototyping-boards/download-fpga-images
Thank you, Ronan. I am curious that could the board run well if i change another same type MCC(STM32) chip? And what should I do if I do this? Maybe it's NOT allow user to repalace MCC(STM32) chip. Look forward to your reply.
Any such hardware change would void the warranty, and cannot comment on what this would do to the board. Are you having issues with the board? I recommend raising an official support request from the support menu above if you need it to be repaired.
Thank you for reminding me.
Do you know how to update the bootloader of MCC, if there is, maybe ?
