How do I verify the tar.xz dowloads?

I'm trying to pull the "arm-gnu-toolchain-12.2.rel1-x86_64-aarch64-none-linux-gnu.tar.xz" file from the following link. 

https://developer.arm.com/downloads/-/arm-gnu-toolchain-downloads

This file is accompanied by a "sha256asc" and a "tar.xz.asc". Perhaps the site assumes I know how to do this but I'm stupid and don't. I would like to know how for the sake of learning.

Would someone be so kind to explain the process to me please? If you could also point me to an article or documentation that explains in more detail that would be a bonus.
