The armclang based on the llvm, that support the gnu link script, but when linking with armclang,
it still uses the old scatter file syntax?
It is a burden that mantain two scripts in a big project. so is there any plan to support gnu ld script?

But seems there is no technical barrier to change to clang's link, don't understand why still using the armlink.
A short answer to this would be that the linker, armlink, is proprietary technology that has developed over the past 20+ years and is closely bound to scatter files and the proprietary libraries supplied with Arm Compiler
