Hello, I have installed arm development studio 24.0.1 but I concurred following errors:-
1.I cannot see DS debugger in the DEBUG Configuration(Screen shot attached1).
2. When I import project from existing workspace , I mistakenly selected all the projects while I needed only Altera Cyclone-V , how to unselect all other projects from list.
3.For ARM cyclone-V , it is showing error that complier 5 is required.
Please help me to solve these errors.
Hello
1) I think you are referring to the debug configurations for Cyclone V. Use the "Filter platforms" text box to search for "Cyclone" (or "Intel SoC FPGA").
2) I think you have removed the old projects from the workspace, but not physically deleted them. Use File Explorer to delete the unnecessary folders.
3) Arm Compiler 5 is no longer provided out-of-the-box with Arm Development Studio. See the below documentation.
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/101469/2024-0/Installing-and-configuring-Arm-Development-Studio/Register-a-compiler-toolchain
I could not find cyclone v in filter platform and where I can find file explorer please
Go to File > New > Hardware connection, and give the connection a name.
You will then be presented with all known targets. You can filter from there:
By File Explorer, I just mean the standard Windows File Explorer (Window key + E).
Hello Ronan,
I have done all the steps you mentioned in previous reply still I am encountering errors.
1.I cannot find DS debugger in In DS configuration(screenshot attached).
2.If i add Altera cyclone V as per the steps mentioned by you, I cannot connect it to connection browser(screenshot attached).
Hi Neha,
What are you using to connect to your board?
The screenshot images are very small... but I think you have selected the Intel FPGA Download cable from the Target Connection pulldown. Is that what you are using? If so, I think I may know the problem... which version of Arm Development Studio do you have installed? If it is 2024.0, there is an issue with such a connection, that is fixed in the 2024.0-1 release:
https://developer.arm.com/documentation/109667/6-1-3/Differences-from-previous-release/Bug-fixes
You can verify the version in Help > About Arm Development Studio.
You can download 2024.0-1 from the below:
https://developer.arm.com/downloads/view/DEVST-GLD0
Thank you so much for your reply, I am using 2024.0 version and I am using USB blaster cable.
Thanks and regards
