Streamline .apc and/or .apd internal data format

I want to write my own tool to process .apd or .apc files. For example, I want to extract per process/thread information. What is the internal structure of .apc or .apd files?
PS
I know that I can obtain these data using GUI, but I don't want to use GUI.

My team uses the command line tools to export a CSV report and process that. Does that work for your use case?
