My development team is using DS-5 5.18. I upgraded to 5.20, and the compiler optimazation settings in .cproject are ignored, with all of them set back to -O0. If I change an optimization for a file or directory, and compare the changes in the .cproject file, it looks like the syntax has changed.
Any work-around for this? It would take a long time to manually go through all the settings in 5.18 and manually apply them to the 5.20 project.
Thanks
As an update, I checked the optimization settings on my co-worker's system, which is also 5.20, and he had the same problem: all of his optimizations were set at minimum.
Hi,
This has been logged as an issue. As of yet, there's no workaround I'm afraid other than to revert back to 5.18. I'll keep an eye on the issue and update this thread once it's fixed.
Thanks,
Joe
Thank you. Do you know if this is the first report of this (I wouldn't think so)? It would be nice to know if ARM has acknowledged it as a problem.
It looks to have been reported a couple of times recently and is on the DS-5 engineering team's radar.
Hi topsy,
I have gotten an update from our DS-5 Debugger engineers. This issue should be fixed in the upcoming v5.20.2 and subsequent v5.21 release. The v5.20.2 release should be coming very soon, in the next few weeks or so. Thank you for being patient!
Regards,
Yang
Thanks for the update
