Correct way to initialize PMU after coming out of core collapse or cluster collapse for multi core architecture

I am facing some issue where I try to initialize PMU after coming out of power collapse. I see that when PMU is reinitialized and PMU counters are enabled, I don't see event or cycle counter getting incremented. Please let me know what is the correct way to re-initialize PMU after exiting power collapse.
