CNTP_CVAL register write from EL1-NS ("Config-RW")

Hi,

I am trying to setup timer at EL1 level and not able to write to CNTP_CVAL register.

I would like to know what is the meaning of "Config-RW"  ? It means can be configured ? eg. to be accessed from (NS) EL1 mode ?

If so what/how to configure to achieve it ?

Thanks,

  • Hi,

Config-RW means it's RW based on the configuration(i.e. it can be RW if required

configuration is enabled, not accessible or trapped otherwise).

    Please read Traps&Enables section under G6.5.8 CNTP_CVAL, Counter-timer Physical

Timer CompareValue register in ARMv8 ARM ARM or similar section in the document

    you are referring.

    Regards,
