For a octa-core soc design that contains two Cortex-A clusters and four cores per cluster, does any application require 3, 5 or 7 cores running at the same time?
Maybe I find the answer by myself. There are 3, 5 cores running at the same time.
Interesting
Yes, the bar chart on the right hand side of the graphic here shows how often a certain number of cores are running for a given application. In this case CastleMaster runs mostly on 3 cores, but some times peaks as high as 6 cores. When running on 3 cores it could be a mixture, e.g. 1 big and 2 LITTLE. The chart to the left shows the utilization of each core, dark grey means off, dark green or blue means maximum performance, and the lighter green and blue colours show a lower performance point.
