Neoverse N1 CPU Questions

Hi!

I would like more clarification on the Neoverse N1 CPU.
How many cores does the CPU have?
I saw on the network that the motherboard has FPGA, so with the FPGA you can bring a maximum of 96 cores and 128 GB of RAM if I'm wrong ?.
I would like more clarification of the characteristics of this CPU?
Which operating system is supported windows server is supported or just Linux ?.
How much does the motherboard with integrated FPGA and the Neoverse N1 CPU cost? where do you buy ?.
is it possible to insert a video card, of which type? low profile or normal?
Thank you and I await your answers.

  • Hi ,

"How many cores does the CPU have?"

Up to 4 per cluster, or up to 2 per cluster in direct connect.

Note that you can have more than one cluster in a system, which means that systems with 128+ cores are possible.

See the Neoverse N1 hyperscale reference design for example: https://developer.arm.com/products/system-design/reference-design/neoverse-reference-design

"I saw on the network that the motherboard has FPGA, so with the FPGA you can bring a maximum of 96 cores and 128 GB of RAM if I'm wrong ?."

I am not sure the FPGA is related to the number of cores.

"I would like more clarification of the characteristics of this CPU?"

I think the SDP board you are referring to is not available yet but will be soon.

"is it possible to insert a video card, of which type? low profile or normal?"

The SDP has PCIe connectors allowing video cards.

    Best regards,

    Vincent.
