I have purchased an android tablet with the Cortex A8 processor , but when I run the system info program it reports that it has the ARMv7 processor rev 2 (v71) is this the correct info for the cortex A8 or is this an ARMv7 processor . The only other information I have it is VFPv3 .
I am knew to this as you can tell , but it would be a great help if I can prove it's the wrong processor in the tablet
or if I have made an error. Thanks

The Cortex-A8 _is_ an ARMv7 processor, so this info looks fine =)
The Cortex-A8 is a specific design, ARMv7 is the architecture which that design implements. There are multiple cores in the ARMv7 family, both from ARM and their partner companies.
