I'm trying to convert my UBL license to a node-locked license in order to use Arm compiler v5. I'm following this doc https://developer.arm.com/documentation/102516/1-3/User-based-licensing-overview/Backwards-compatibility
The LIC is generated correctly, but when I try to add in the License Manager I get: *** ERROR R208(1): RENEW LICENSE ID CODE (LIC)
This means:
This error can occur if:
Your LIC has been modified since it was generated. Did you incorrectly copy it?
Some of the computer parameters have changed since you generated your LIC.
Looking at the CID when generating the LIC with armlm genlic, this doesn't match the CID in the License Manger.
How can I fix this? I'm running Arm tools on Windows in a virtual machine with internet connectivity.
Please raise a support case for questions like this. You have purchased our MDK Pro, and therefore, you are eligible to get professional support. Please tell us the LIC you generated with armlm and the CID you see in the uVision 'License Management' dialog.
In general, when you generate LICs for our tools and you run them in a VM, make sure that the MAC address of your virtual Ethernet adapter does not change from session to session.
