My company recently had to renew uVrsion license. Apparently uVersion 5 license is no longer available and they had to purchase uVersio 6 license. I followed the procedure to activate the license using armlm activate - code 3617ce9c-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. But when I tried to generate the license code for uVersion 5 it responded that the license does not enable generation of License ID Codes (LIC):
PS C:\Keil_v5\UV4\armlm> .\armlm inspect1 active product in your local cache:

Your username is: QQA15279PS C:\Keil_v5\UV4\armlm> .\armlm genlicDetected user-based license for Keil MDK Essentials, Order ID: 0000230027, License expiry: September 15, 2028. Any configured grace period has been automatically added to the expiry date.
This license does not enable the generation of License ID Codes (LIC) for Keil MDK Professional or Keil PK51, PK166, AR166 or PK251.PS C:\Keil_v5\UV4\armlm>
How can I enable the generation of License ID Codes LIC?
Thanks.
The MDK6 license enables uVision from 5.38 onwards. Is this not working for you?

Are you trying to use an older version version, or compiling with Arm Compiler 5 (armcc)?
For that you require a Professional Edition license and use armlm genlic as you have above.
I see you have only an Essential Edition license.

I have moved this thread to the Keil specific forum.
