is it possible to host a floating license file on sharepoint?
Our company are moving away from shared windows drives with everything now in MS Teams and Sharepoint
I can see the most recent version of sharepoint doesn't have the view in explorer option by default

Are you talking about Keil floating license or Flex floating license?
It might be a Flex. The certificate says

No matter your flex license server is a dedicated server or somewhere in a cloud, it must have a fixed MAC address and reachable via either a hostname or an IP address. Both TCP ports used by lmgrd and armlmd daemons should be open on that server as well.

do I have any option to transfer the license to node locked licenses. We work for a large company, so getting IT to allow me to create a license server is not going to be an easy task
in this case you need to contact our distributor, where you bought your license, to ask for the possibility to convert your existing license
