Switching in debug mode takes several minutes

Hello,

I am using Keil v5.26. To estimate the size of my project, the produced hexfile has a size of 0,5 MB. 

Unfortunately, I am facing a severe problem for the time I am programming on this project. Everytime I wanna go into debug-mode it takes round-about 5-7 Minutes till the debug interface appears. Meanwhile the application is frozen (see screenshot) for several minutes as mention. 

How can I prevent this? Of course, debugging is then even less fun.

    Is the project on a network drive?

    What processor and debug pod involved?

    Tried 5.29 ?

    What kind of AV software?

    Hi I thought is a common issue there the less context infos.

    Is the project on a network drive?

    No, directly on SSD

    What processor and debug pod involved?

    stm32f429NIHx with J-Link Plus

    Tried 5.29 ?

    yes same issue

    What kind of AV software?

    Trend Micro, but it is disabled for the folder of my uVision projects

    You do realise that the size of an Intel Hex file is over twice the size of the data it represents ... ?

    • The time to blow the code into the taget ?

    And is that time unique to this project? Have you tried other projects?

    If you use Segger's own utilities, is it as slow?

    Have you tried any other debug probe - eg, ST-Link.
