This is my #1 irritant with uVision, does anyone have ideas how to avoid it (is not, but could be, always move cursor left first)

  • Hello Erik,

It sounds like you are describing "Enter the string pattern you want to find. This field is filled automatically with the currently selected word, the word under the caret, or the last searched pattern. The drop down contains a list of previous search strings."

    From http://www.keil.com/support/man/docs/uv4/uv4_ut_findinfiles.htm

So yes whitespace will not get pre-populated into the search window.

Usually when I open the search window, the text string the editor found is already highlighted, so all I have to do is hit the "delete" key to clear the entry, and paste in what I am searching for (or select it from the drop down box).

    What behavior would you prefer?
