In Keil UV3 (3.62c), if a file is open in the UV3 editor, I can't double-click in Windows XP Tablet Edition (sp3) Explorer, nor in Eudora. Eudora also can't select a line via a click at the left end of it (with the right-pointing cursor) - the line highlights and then immediately un-highlights before I release the first click.
Inside many other applications double-clicking and selecting work properly. That right-arrow select mode works properly in the UV3 editor even when it is causing a problem for other apps. But double-clicking to select a word does not ever work in the UV3 editor!
I'm using the SiLabs SiC8051F.dll (2.8.0.0) to connect to their USB JTAG adapter, but the JTAG adapter does not even need to be connected to the USB port for this problem to appear. If I start UV3 in a configuration for simulation, or for a serial debug adapter, I get the same problem. I've suspected it was USB or JTAG causing this, but it appears to be the new version of UV3 which arrived along with the new chip and adapter.
Close all the UV3 editor files, and double-click works again everywhere else. The CPU usage also goes down considerably with all files closed, though it is no higher with the SiLabs USB to JTAG connection than with any other configuration.
It is hard to believe how maddening it can be to have such a basic interface element as double-click stop working. Is anyone else seeing this? I do think XP Tablet Edition has acquired some issues with losing window focus through the last few months of updates, but nothing else wipes out double-click.
