Microcontroller using an 8051 with oscillator of 12 MHz

System register TMOD is set to 0x01.

Timer 0 needed to overflow once every 50 milliseconds.

What would be the value of TH0 and TL0?

    There is no Philips but Philips, and Erik is their prophet.
    The fact that the link to "the bible" is to Philips is irrelevant, it is an Intel document. Also, it applies to all known derivatives. E.g. Atmel in their datasheets only state what is not in "the bible". The advantage of the Philips links is that if you use the Intel link you get "the bible" and twice as much more which is datasheets for discontinued derivatives.

  • No offence, I will gladly accept the title.

    Just that I have seen some with a dial-up line trying to download the full "bible" including the useless last 2/3 and you gave me the opportunity to reiterate that "the bible" although a Philips link is not a "Philips document" but a "standard".
