Hello I have googling in attempt to find In-system Programmer for AT89S51/2 but I am not sure if any of these will work or not. Therefore I think it is wise to ask you guys for suggestions I look forward to hear from you asap Manoz Joshi
Try these folks, I've owned a couple of their programmers over the years and been happy with them. The 3000 supports Atmel 8051 derivatives but be sure to check your IC package you might need to buy an adapter module. http://www.xeltek.com
what is about reading Atmel site? For example, here: http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/tools_card.asp?family_id=604&family_name=8051+Architecture&tool_id=2877 Regards, Oleg
William, I did not know that Xeltek dis ISP (In System Programming) :) Anyhow one word about Xeltek: I bought one of their uint and less than 3 years later was informed, "we do not support this any more, pay us $600 for an upgrade". Needless to say, this location does not have any Xeltek programmers any more. Erik

I suppose I should add my experience with xeltek to be fair to them. As I said I owned two between 1993 and 1999. I also had one client buy one during the course of work there and I never had any problem. If I had called up after three years and gotten the same message I wouldn't have been surprised, how many people give free support after that long? Even Keil doesn't do that. If one of my clients calls up after more than one year requesting support for firmware or hardware they pay for it. There are EDA vendors out there who aren't worth their maintenance charges. They shall remain nameless but their initials are Mentor Graphics

If one of my clients calls up after more than one year requesting support for firmware or hardware they pay for it. 1) who said anything about requesting it for free 2) my BP micro programmes have been upgraded for free for 7 years and a month ago they informed me that maintenance would end in 2007. So, which programmes do you think we are buying here? Erik
