uVision 3

I just got this evaluation version of uVision 3 from Keil. Before I start playing with this software, I would like to know if uVision 3 could, in any way, interfere my uVison 2 projects. Thanks.

  • Hi Alan,

you can be sure that no interference will occur.
I tested µVision 3 relative early and there
    was never an influence.
The both µV's will save, hold and handle
    projects separately.
The only way is, that you explecitely tell
for instance the µV3 to open a µV2
project, change the files - save them and reopen than with µV2.

But you can work with all your µV2 projects the same way in µV3.
If you work a while with µV3 you will love
the new options and behaviours of it.

I work some times in parallel with both for comparisation and to cross check some
    features.
( And sometimes I misuse the editor functions for other projects ).

Be not afraid! Enjoy the µV3.
