Hi, when working with smart cards and micro controllers you have five signals interfacing them: Clock, Reset, I/O line, Vcc and Ground. Clock and Reset...are they supposed to be quasi-bidirectional input only or Output only. What would be the right configuration for these signals? Thank you
If you're going to work with SmartCards, you need to get hold of the relevant ISO standards. You will also need to read the Datasheet for your specific device(s).
Hi, Reset & clock needs to be output only . data line needs to be bidirectional line. You have to refer to iso 7816 standard for exact details. Also visit http://www.digicraftindia.com for more info on smart cards.
"Reset & clock needs to be output only." You need to clarify: Output from the micro, or output from the Smartcard...?
Output from the micro !!
