Greetings People.
I am new to Nuvoton micro-controllers. I want to confirm whether the micro-controller W78E516DDG has non-volatile memory. If it has non-volatile memory then can i run 89S8253 on chip eeprom code in W78E516DDG ?
Could you ask an Nuvoton FAE, they'd probably know more about the chip?
Claims to have FLASH EPROM http://www.keil.com/dd/docs/datashts/nuvoton/w78e058d.pdf
I doubt it supports ATMEL internal EEPROM, but you could surely read the manual, investigate and experiment.
Hi, I have already dropped the mail. In the datasheet it mentions that the chip has data memory starting from 00H to FFH under AUX-RAM section. Any idea whether this memory region is non-volatile or volatile ? Any documentation on accessing it ? Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
Standard 8051 rules - data memory is non-volatile RAM.
a bit too fast, Per
Standard 8051 rules - data memory is volatile RAM.
OOPS - parity errors between brain and keyboard.
Yes - the RAM is volatile.
Erik, Per,
You older guys are great :)
