I'm using the Keil uvision 5 software to program my 8051 in assembly language. Whenver I try to upload a file (Be it the .asm file or just creating a new project!), things stop working and it says its not responding. What might be the problem? Is it just my computer or the software? Please help me out.

Yes. That's a complete kit. I don't have it with me right. It's in my college. Can't I just write the program and run it to check for errors at home without the kit?
