Hi
I am having a arm926ej-s developer's kit. I need to implement fast fourier transform for audio samples to get frequency spectrum. As I searched in Internet, it seems arm926ej-s has Vector Floating Point Coprocessor. Will it be able to support my requirement in real time ? As I am new to ARM board implementation provide me ideas for the same. Any DSP examples on arm926ej-s will be very useful.

What real-time requirements are those? You do not state a sample rate, number of channels or bit width, or for that matter a clocking speed for your processor.
What kind of algorithms have you written so far, what is the speed of those, and how would that be improved by the use of the VFP?
Is this really a Keil issue? Or are you just fishing for someone to do your homework?
Hi Westonsupermare Pier
Thank you for your reply.
Sample rate of audio signal is 44.1 kHz, 2 channel and 16 bits per channel. Clocking speed is 13 MHz. I have not yet started writing the code. I am on the process of implementing audio algorithm from an IEEE paper. I am beginner in ARM programming. As I discussed with some of my friends, they informed that I need a dedicated DSP processor for that purpose. I had an ARM926ej-s board. Hence I want to know whether it can be used for my implementation.
I think this is not a Keil issue. But I dont know where I can get some expert advice. Hence I posted here. I tried googling but dsp examples for arm926ej-s are not available.
I need any kind of guidance regarding DSP support in ARM. If you know any forums where I can get such help also inform me. Thanks in advance.
