Need WiFi module

Hi I need information on which WiFi module to use for Cortex-M3 MCU, Keil compiler.

  • Do you think the WiFi module cares if it is connected to a Cortex-M3 processor, an ARM7 processor or maybe an x86 processor?

    Same thing with compiler.

People who want a WiFi module would normally instead care about:
    - price
    - availability
    - suitable hw interface
    - documentation
    - application notes
    - ...

  • Yes, we should be careful about choosing the WiFi module.

The scenario has got changed now, I have heard about the availability of WiFi module for particular processor type where you just need to plug in the module to your controller and it will start working as the module comes with ready to use WLAN driver with easy to use WLAN lib for compiler you want to use.

We really need not to worry about porting and wasting our time for unnecessary effort once we are getting the ready to use solution for the same price.

    I know some.

  • No doubt pricing, interface, documentation are important factors to decide which module to use.

you can check with WhizNets once. Seems they provide Wifi solution for your MCU and compiler type. Here is the link for your reference:
