MY INDUCTION HEATER PROJECT IS STARTED. MY STM32F103RBT6 (OLIMEX) BOARD IS RUNNING AND THE CODE IS RUNNING. WHEN MY DEBUG STARTS THE HEATER GOES ON BUT MY ULINK GETS HOT. WE WANT TO MAKE THE EXTENSION FOR THE ULINK CABLE THEN THE HEATER WILL NOT MELT IT. IS THE CABLE 500CM GOOD?
If the JTAG interface gets hot, the question is if the control electronic for your heater is placed at a good location. Remember that the retention time of flash memory is significantly affected by the temperature. If you are worried about the temperature of the JTAG interface, then you should be similarly worried about the temperature of the Olimex board.
Get that "control electronic" moved. No 'standard' electronics (and I believe Olimex is in that group) is supposed to run at Ta above 50C and most will only have a long happy life at Ta below 40C. The Flash retention is one (important) thing, but the rest of the electronics need to be reasonably cool as well
