i have connected key to port 1.7 of 89s52, with a pull up resistor of 3.3k and 0.1uf capacitro to ground. The key does not work. If i replace 89s52 with 89c52 the key do not functions as desired.
i could not find out why and. I have searched in many forums for the answer.

Don't use your home key. It's the car key you are supposted to connect.
