Dear list members,
We have a plan to use KEIL for ARM M3 and ARM9. My previous experience is with Rabbit and MCS51 micro.
I have experience with ANSI C and wanted to know if migrating to KEIL MDK and RL-ARM is a smooth process for you, do you re-learn. From the user manual it is quite simple, but I do not want to assume it is.
I need to know how many days you need to provide to learn about the tools.
Our application needs: 1. TCP stack (PPP (SIMCOM GPRS module), Ethernet, SMTP, SNMP, FTP, SOAP) 2. USB (host and device), I2C, SD Card 3. Remote program upgrade
1. Please help what tools do I need to purchase from KEIL, what is my option (We plan to use full version, not Basic) 2. Are there any option? (floating point, DSP, SSL) 3. What is included in the MDK and RL-ARM, are there any HW? (I see in Digikey, there is 1 product with HW) 4. I have quotation from reseller for MDK + RL-ARM US$9,857. Is this OK? 5. Do I get free update when new version arrive? are there any limitation for this upgrade? 6. Do you find support from KEIL OK? 7. I see that it support almost all ARM type and from many mfg. We use NXP LPC1768 and Atmel ARM9.
Sorry for the long Qs, but I need to be careful before making investment.
Thank you for your kind help and attention Ojahan
