GNU: Problem with malloc function

Im using the Codesourcery GNU tool chain with the Keil 4 eval version. The malloc function is not working, it just returns NULL.

I found a knowledgebase article, GCC: CONFIGURING MALLOC FUNCTION

which suggests to look at GNU examples in -->

..\Keil\ARM\GNU\

but it appears that this folder is not included anymore as I don't have any GNU directory in my installation. Is there somewhere else where I can download these or a suitable startup file.
