What programmer do you use for your 8051 projects.
I saw quite a good one at phucthinhel.googlepages.com but I want one that can program all devices because I don't know what processor I'll use yet.
Share the experiences.
Chip with ISP/IAP. Doesn't get much easier than that.

In system programming/In application programming.
This means that in most cases, a dedicated programmer is not needed - programming is done over the chips UART.
I'm sure Erik will comment here shortly on "kitchen table programmers". You may want to heed his advice in this regard.
