Measure time of impulse!

I need help with 89s52 programing!

I need to measure time interval of impulse, who can be sort couple ns and at least 500ms!

How I can do that using Timers?

Using keil!

  • I suspect that it is a class project, and the teacher wants the student to implement the task and come back with an error report on how it cannot be more accurate than +/- XYZ seconds, but with some extra [credit] coding, the range of the measurement can span from small to large. "Good job, your diploma is in the mail... You'll be working with a Mr. Muland by the end of the week."

    I doubt it is really an engineer out there solving a real-world problem and expecting this forum to send him the schematics to a front-end capture circuit accurate to a those few nanoseconds, and then write the 8051 code to extract that information.

  • From the number of requests for distributed problem solving I see, my feeling is that the schools have improved a lot on distributed programming since my days.

    In a couple of years, this development model will be really big with the companies. Every company hires a couple of guys who ask for solutions on the net, and a couple of minutes, hours, days, weeks later the solutions magically appears from the community.

    The only part I haven't fully grasped is exactly who "the community" is.
