Are there any forums specific to this micro controller? I just feel asking specific questions regarding this processor here is kind of OFF TOPIC so I thought it might be prudent to find someplace that would be more appropriate.

8052's forum appears rather chaotically organized. There seems to be only one forum as matter of fact which in my view is a disaster waiting to happen. It must be my experience showing. Does TI have a forum for the MSC12XX series?
There appears to be a respectable sized community using these forums.
Hopefully I'll get to use Keil's ARM tools (ARM == more elbow room).

If you want to see a disaster that did happen have a look at the SILabs forum. The forum is nicely divided into subgroups (e.g. ADC and DAC) and all that is wonderful; however 50% of all posts in the SILabs forum are posted in the wrong subgroup.
As far as your desire for a derivative specific forun, i wish you well, but you will lose a lot of good stuff. Often at 8052 a question "I have this problem with x" has been answered by "I do not know x but solved the same problem in y by ....." and the naxt post reads "thank you, it worked"

I don't really know the SiLabs forum, but that is also my experience of other "sub-divided" forums

The biggest problem is the people who are too lazy (or whatever) to think about the correct category for their post. But, even without them, there's always questions that fall between categories.
So, unless is it rigorously moderated, I think the single forum is best in practice.
An undivided forum is always to prefer, until the forum has reached such volume of posts that people can't keep up with the daily additions.
Few programming forums has such amounts of posts.
I guess I see your point. I'm use to very busy forums, and also have a very disciplined approach to posting (often resulting in no one replying to the post but hey I did the right thing ;) ). Fortunately I usually solve my problems (lucky me?).
I guess 8052 is about as close as one can get.
That is a very strange phenomenon. Some people manage a huge amount of questions. Just about everything they are about to do has to be solved through questions to forums or mailing lists.
Some people only spend time answering posts. When they now and then do post a problem, they don't get any answer. I don't know if it is because the answer is unknown, or what the reason may be.
Anyway - the people who manage to write good questions are often methodical enough to be able to find the solutions on their own.
